This north arête is more impressive than really technically challenging. if you are confident in your climbing technique and not afraid of height, you will enjoy its unique situation in the middle of the highest peak in Valais. Surrounded by the Weisshorn, Ober Gabelhorn, Matterhorn and Dent Blanche it is clearly one of my favorite ascent starting from a very friendly hut, the Grand Mountet.
