Ascent of Dent du Géant 4013 m

The Dent du Géant is a spectacular Granit Needle situated in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif at the west end of the ridge boader between France and Italy.

The rocky ridge route the Dent du Géan is the south west is on the south west side.

The Dent du Géant had remained unclimbed during the Golden age of alpinism, and was a much-coveted peak in the 1870s, repelling many partie. First ascent by W. W. Graham with guides Auguste Cupelin and Alphonse Payot on 20th aug 1882
