Canyoning & Climbing assault
For summer 2010 Neil McNab and myself will be pushing a long awaited Canyoning, Climbing and Bouldering activity week in the South of France.
In the Alp Maritime of Southern France there are an infinite number of amazing water sculpted canyons,
beautiful rock faces and fantastic boulders with enough variety to suit all levels of ability and experience.
Climbing.
For those that haven’t been climbing before we will first teach you the basics before showing you how to develop the feeling of moving gracefully over the rock as you scale climb after climb and challenge yourself to tackle steeper and harder climbs.
For those already initiated into the world of rock climbing the South of France offers you the chance to test yourself on some of the worlds greatest Limestone always with expert advice close at hand.
Canyoning.
If you’ve not been Canyoning before, think Indiana Jones adventure with Matrix style moves and jumps thrown in for good measure.
In the South of France the surface rock has been carved and sculpted by water for millions of years creating amazing deep canyons flowing with crystal clear water full of Deep Pools, Big Drops, High Cascades and Rock slides. For Canyoning you basically follow the watercourse down the hill, where it tumbles into the void below you either jump or abseil depending on the reception below, the height and your nerves or will power. You swim down the river, hopping from boulder to boulder, sliding down smooth waterfalls and abseiling into deep pools.
If you like water and love adventure then Canyoning really is a must!
Canyoning will take place during the morning through the hottest part of the day (when diving into cool water is just what is needed) and our week of summer fun will be topped off with afternoon and evening climbing and bouldering sessions.
Bouldering.
The South of France is also host to some of the worlds most famous Bouldering venues.

Bouldering is a part of climbing which has become a sports with in a sport and is a great way for improving power, finger strength and technique and making rapid gains in your climbing ability.
Our Canyoning and Climbing assault week is designed to cater for all abilities and you can do as much or as little as you like.
A good level of fitness is recommended and a strong swimming standard is essential.
This course will run next summer 2010. You can contact Sébastien for further informations about this camp.
